For our last full day in Iceland we had already booked the Sky Lagoon, which is the direct competition to the Blue Lagoon. We started the day by returning the campervan and making our way back to the city, where we were lucky enough to be allowed to check in to the hotel early. We connected with our bus to get to the Lagoon around 11:30am, and got to the lagoon around 12:15pm. I’m so glad we booked it early. We were there for over 4 hours! It was so relaxing and amazing. And I did book it in advance so I had forgotten that I had booked us the exclusive change rooms where you get your own personal shower and everything so that was a nice surprise.
It’s similar to Body Blitz, in that you sort of follow a circuit. There is the main pool which is very warm, and then there is the cold plunge, the dry sauna, the cold mist, the steam room, etc… But OMG, it’s so much better at the lagoon! The dry sauna has a huge window that overlooks the water. You don’t get that at body blitz! Plus, the main pool has a swim up bar. I do love me a good swim up bar.
