What a full day! After getting in to Reykjavik we found out hotel and dropped off our bags and found blessed coffee. None of us slept much on the plane and it was early morning when we landed.
We were booked into a walking food tour at noon so we headed to the meeting spot which was at a concert hall. What a fantastic building! I took pics and video.
I didn’t take any pictures of the food because I was just too tired, but we weren’t too 5 different restaurants and ate so much food! Lamb is very traditional here so there was lots of lamb. We also had fermented shark with a moonshine chaser.
After the tour we checked in to our apartment and passed out for about an hour. Then we went to the famous church in Reykjavik called Hallgrímskirkja Church and we went up to the roof.
So the thing about Iceland Is the weather! I’ve never experienced anything like it. It goes from warm and sunny to rain and wind that would blow you away in a minute, and then back again! So the wind at the top of this Church was something else!
